While I enjoy gangsta rap, talk about rims, blunts, crunk, booty shaking and all that, I can’t help but feel nostalgic listening to the UMC’s. Even though it was 18 years ago, it’s hard to believe they didn’t get dissed for wearing crazy colorful outfits, and for being so fun and awesome. Can you believe they were from Statin Island? How they ended up so happy and positive while sharing the neighborhood with the Wu-Tang Clan beats the hell outta me. From 1991, here’s their debut single Blue Cheese.
