On June 22, 2009 United States president Barack Obama announced his “United We Serve” program. A system by which people from all over the US can get together and learn more about charity work going on in their communities.
Well it has been a month since the program began and it is still in its infant stages. So some of our hip hop celebrities decided to get together and help promote the heck out of this to get the ball rolling.

Will.I.Am White House Material?

Will.i.am apparently wants in on the Obama Administration. He told reporters in India that if asked he would join the administration in a heartbeat. Will.i.am was a big supporter of Barack Obama in supporting his Yes We Can campaign. He also teleported to the set of CNN during the elections to explain his efforts in the campaign.
Not that that wasn’t appreciated by Obama but I mean come on. If Obama accepted every unqualified supporter help him in the oval office we would have more problems than normal happening.

With all of the hype in the media surrounding the inauguration of Barack Obama as president of the United States today, I thought I’d give a shout to the many Obama fans out there.
Today January 20th, 2009 at noon, Barack Obama became the 44th president of the United States. The ceremony was great up until that strange beatnik poetry ready at the end. I could have done without that.
I wonder what kind of dog the president will get for his daughters?

T.I. Gives Acceptance Speech At Hip Hop Inaugural Ball

T.I. Gave a touching speech for accepting an award at the Hip Hop Inaugural ball celebrating the induction of Barack Obama into the White House. He claimed to have lost his prepared speech so he winged-it.
Host Russell Simmons, was on the scene to present the awards. Check out the video below. If you live outside of the United States you will not be able to view this video. However the Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball will be televised on MTV Tuesday January 20th at 10 pm ET/PT.

Wow, has anyone heard this song that was distributed but Senior Republican official Chip Saltsman. This guy said that he sent the CDs out as a joke and did not intend for it to be bad intentioned or racist. Listen to it yourself and decide.

Ebony Magazine has named Barack Obama their 2009 "Person of the Year!" The magazine has announced that they will be featuring an exclusive interview and photoshoot of the next President of the United States. This will be the first time Obama has shared himself to an exclusive media source since being elected on November 4th, 2008.
In the new January 2009 issue of the African American magazine, Obama shared it all from his days in the 80’s removing asbestos in Chicago’s South Side projects to his future plans in the White House.
