Remy Ma Sued For $20 Million
Hip-Hop singer Remy Ma is being sued for $20 Million by a woman who alleges she was shot in a money dispute.
Makeda Barnes-Joseph was shot in the abdomen by Remy after leaving a party in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village on July 14.
Remy told police that Makeda had taken $2,000 dollars from her purse.
Aside from the criminal charges Makeda said that the shooting has left her depressed and disabled.
Remy’s lawyer, Ivan Fisher, believes that the lawsuit "appears to be a publicity stunt consistent with the way Ms. Barnes and her lawyer have, together with their publicist, been attempting to claim 15 minutes of fame on account of a terrible accident."
Remy has been released on a $250,000 bail.
