Kanye vs. 50 Cent – Battle of the Egos
So, 50 Cent and Kanye West are releasing an album on the same day (September 11). Of course, with both of them being so humble, there was bound to be some ridiculous comments being made. Kanye’s were relatively tame, Fiddy, on the other hand, has possibly lost his mind. Here’s the 411:
50 Cent said: “Let’s raise the stakes.
“If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I’ll no longer perform music. I’ll write music and work with my other artists, but I won’t put out any more solo albums.
“They would like to see Kanye West give me a problem because I’ve worked myself into a space where I’ve become the favourite. Everybody roots for the underdog when he goes against the favourite.”
Wow.
Kanye said “If me and Fifty didn’t have that date I would never have stopped working on my record,” Kayne announced at the concert. “In hip-hop, people are always dropping albums aimlessly. We’re like the gladiators and I think we’ve both upped our game because of it.”
This should be interesting… with both of their first singles already dropped, I’d have to say that Kanye’s “Stronger” is going to give Fifty’s “Ayo Technology” a run for its’ money. Kanye teaming up with Daft Punk was sheer genius.
