Kanye West Cancels Tour With Lady Gaga

Kanye West announced that he will not be doing his tour of the United States and Canada with Lady Gaga. He refused to tell anyone why he canceled the tour and Lady Gaga has confirmed that she did not ask Kanye to sit this one out.

So I guess it can only be assumed that he’s ashamed to face his fans. He knows that he will face ridicule wherever he goes for his composure on the MTV Video/Music Awards. I hope that this will be turning point for Kanye into realizing that he needs to be less opinionated and more diplomatic. Does anyone else think that Kanye acts like that on stage because he’s drunk half the time?

Russ Castella Remix – Drake “Forever”

Russ Castella from Bliss Entertainment made a great remix of Drake’s new music video for Forever. As you all know the song features Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem. But in record producer Russ Castella’s remix version he cuts out Kanye West’s verse calling it “the worst verse of all time.” Damn, no one is going to let that incident slide.

Kanye West Tops BET Nominations

Kanye West has topped in overall nomination at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. The award show are to be held on October 10 but will air on TV on the 27th. Why such a delay? Are they expecting a few more outbursts by Kanye?

Kanye West “Ego” ft. Beyonce

Are they talking about “ego” or something else? The new music video from Kanye West feat Beyonce called “Ego” has been making people wonder.

“You have such a big ego…” could mean something else but who cares right, it’s got Beyonce in it. Kanye who has been known for having a huge ego could be singing about himself. The rapper has been known for his tantrums after losing top spots at award shows. He has calmed down in recent years and has been able to make fun of himself a little.

Russel Brand has announced this years nominee’s for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Top of the list for hip-hopers are Eminem’s “We Made You” and Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown.”

Having him host last year was hilarious. Too bad people were so uptigh with his jokes. I hope that this year they will be more responsive to his stand-up.

Kanye West Declairs Himself New “King of Pop”

Kanye West declaired himself the new “King of Pop” when addressing a Scrape TV yesterday. West, who is known for his over-inflated ego has said that after the passing of Michael Jackson it’s time now to pass on the crown.

Unfortunately someone forgot to tell Kanye that no one is ever declared King of Pop, there is no coronation or ceremony involved. Michael Jackson received the name after his close friend Elizabeth Taylor handed him a “Artist of the Decade” prize back in 1989.

If any rapper is to receive any Kingly title in the hip-hop industry it would have to go to Jay-Z not to some reverb wannabe. Also because Jay-Z truly is the Godfather of Rap.

Jay-Z Releases New Single “Run This Town”

It was a few years ago on Conan O’Brien’s Late Show that Jay-Z told the world that he didn’t know how to retire. And It’s a good thing too cause now he’s got more great rap albums that continue to have great songs.

It was just announced that Jay-Z’s newest album “Blueprint 3″ will be hitting the shelves by September 11. The single from the album was just released yesterday and you’ll be hearing it all over the radio waves today.

The song “Run This Town” features the return of Rihanna, and the talent of Kanye West. How can that possibly go wrong? My favorite part of the song is when Kanye says “what do you think I rap for, so that I could drive a Rav4?”

Kanye West at BET Awards

Though he didn’t take home anything at the BET Awards he did manage to steal the spotlight during the ‘take you picture in front of some photographers before the show event.’ Him and girlfriend/model Amber Rose chose to be colour co-ordinated for the Awards show.
