Akon, has announced that he has accepted the responsibility of coordinating the music arraignments for the 2010 World Cup games.

The FIFA World Cup games is the largest sporting event in the world. South Africa expects more that 3 million to be in attendance during all of the games with millions more around the world watching at home. We are talking serious spectatorship is Akon manages to pull this off. Which he undoubtedly will.

Akon protégé, Dolla (a.k.a. Roderick Anthony Burton II), was gunned down yesterday while waiting for the valet at the Beverly Center.  The murder sent shockwaves through Los Angeles since it was shocking that the crime took place that the very popular, upscale shopping mall.  
The 21-year-old had just completed his first album Another Day, Another Dolla, which is due out this summer.

Fat Joe apparently was so inspired by his marriage that it’s what inspired his song “One.” The song is produced by The Inkredibles and is the first single off of his album, “J.O.S.E. 2.” Surprise, surprise. Akon has to get all up in whatever song he can touch. He’s featured on this song, “One” as well.
It’s a pretty good song, though. It’s got nice lyrics and a decent beat, so kudos to Fat Joe.

Have you seen the video for “Beautiful” by Akon and Colby O’Donis and Kardinall Offishall? The song is off of Akon’s third studio album “Freedom.” If you notice a few familiar faces in the video you might be recognizing Tyrese, A.R. Rahman, Hapreet Singh Lubana or Sean Kingston because they all make an appearance.

Not a fan of the song at all. It’s a bit dull for my taste, but maybe I’m biased because I can’t stand Akon’s voice. Fill me in on what you think.

Seems like they had a bit of fun with this one. Kanye West made a light appearance at the beginning only to pick fun at T-Pain and his digital voice-overs. I suppose T-Pain didn’t like that so he took a personal interest when someone tried to Karaoke one of his songs.

The song “Karaoke” is from T-pain’s ‘Thr33 Rings’ album and features DJ Khaled. You’ll have a good laugh over this one. Akon even makes a light appearance at the end.

According to Ear Sucker, Akon had his crotch grabbed by a ‘loving’ fan after crowd surfing. He was performing one of his songs at the end of the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show last night when Akon decided to crowd surf. A male fan (none the less) grabbed his crotch several times after passing over top of him. Akon didn’t seem to mind but then again I’m sure he thought it was a female fan.

Here’s the video for Akon’s song “Right Now (Na Na Na)” which is the first single off of his new album “Freedom“. It peaked at #9 on the U.S. Hot 100 Billboard Charts, #17 on the Canadian Hot 100, and #1 on the French Singles Chart.
I’m sure lots of people really like this song, but I find this song so extremely annoying. Perhaps, it’s just because I’m tired of Akon. To each his own, I guess!
