Jamie Foxx is not funny!

It’s no life altering discovery but I just want to draw a quick comparison:
to…
and…
to…
Cannot take either one of these dudes seriously! You can’t do the most hilarious stand-up ever and then bust out the pop/ R&B expecting us to switch over like that. I keep watching the video expecting a laugh track to come in at the end. I guess I better warm up to it, Jamie Foxx has been in the music game for a minute now. Eight years to be exact and he’s stockpiling awards. This year he’s up for three Grammy nominations. Let’s see how he does …read more

Ghostface Killah – Wizard of Poetry

A lot of people hate on Ghost’s newest album, Ghostdini: The Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City. I’m a girl so obviously I love when rap and R&B come together to make those catchy jams. I don’t care what anyone says, this record is god. Hate it or love it if there is anyone in the game that can make an R&B album hype it’s the Wallaby Champ.
Here’s Ghost saying “If you love me, you gonna love me regardless” and more on Wizard of Poetry.

Artist Spotlight – Babes in Hip-Hop: Mya

I’m going to take you down memory lane, to some classic tracks and one classic babe: Mya. Although she’s still kickin’ it I first got up on her steez in the late ’90s when Ghetto Superstar featuring ODB and Pras came out. This track was everywhere and it was hard to find someone who didn’t know the song inside out.
Mya killed it and thus began my love for babes in Hip-Hop.

No one can deny that she adds sexiness to some of the best rap stars out there, like Jay-Z.  In his 2000 “Best of Me” track Mya turns it into …read more

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys Perform at 2009 World Series

Yesterday, rap mogul Jay-Z and R&B songstress, Alicia Keys performed their collaborative single together, “Empire State of Mind” at Game 2 of the 2009 World Series. The two of them brought the house down in Yankee Stadium, Hova wearing his New York Yankees hat and jacket.
The performance was great and I would have loved to been there! They couldn’t have chosen a better pair of performers, especially since Jay-Z loves his team so much.
Alicia recently said that she’s grateful that Jay-Z hit her up for the song, “Obviously, I’m very grateful to him for reaching out to me and …read more
