Jay-Z and Alicia Keys Perform at 2009 World Series
October 30, 2009 by Jyle
Yesterday, rap mogul Jay-Z and R&B songstress, Alicia Keys performed their collaborative single together, “Empire State of Mind” at Game 2 of the 2009 World Series. The two of them brought the house down in Yankee Stadium, Hova wearing his New York Yankees hat and jacket.
The performance was great and I would have loved to been there! They couldn’t have chosen a better pair of performers, especially since Jay-Z loves his team so much.
Alicia recently said that she’s grateful that Jay-Z hit her up for the song, “Obviously, I’m very grateful to him for reaching out to me and …read more
Lil Wayne Breaks Billboard Record In Concert Sales
September 11, 2009 by Jyle
Lil Wayne stunned the people at Billboard who announced yesterday that he grossed over $42 million in his 2008-09 North American tour. What’s amazing is that he made that much even after a few no show/ticket refunds, and court cases that held him back from performing a few times.
Billboard has been keeping track of tour sales for only just a few years now. However the only person to have come close to Lil Wayne’s new title win was Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige who raked in $34.6 in 2008.

No Muslims allowed at Black Eyed Peas Concert
August 30, 2009 by Jyle
The Black Eyed Peas are scheduled to hold their first ever non-Muslim only concert in Malaysia. Now hold on, before you all go hatin’ on the Black Eyed let me just say that the discrimination comes from the government of Malaysia.
Malaysia is predominantly Muslim state but because they are becoming increasingly global they are having to make acceptions to other countries culture habits. They banned Avril Lavigne in the past for being to sexy and now they almost banned the Black Eyed Peas for being sponsored by Guinness a beer company from Ireland. The Muslim country of Malaysia have laws …read more
Drake Falls While On Stage During Young Money Tour
August 3, 2009 by Jyle
I guess that night wasn’t the best Drake has ever had. Apparently, the rapper was touring with Lil Wayne and Ne-Yo for the Young Money Tour, when he collapsed from pain on-stage. He was doing a duet with Weezy for his song “Best I Ever Had” when he supposedly tried doing a spin and ended up twisting his already injured knee, causing to fall in pain.
Miss Info reports of the incidence, "He put his head down because he was in so much pain and then 4 guys ran out on the stage and had to carry him off."
When Drake …read more

Hip-Hop Dream Team Hookin’ Up For Summer Tour
June 5, 2009 by Jyle
The dream team of hip-hop will be meeting up this summer to do a state-wide tour. Lil Wayne has confirmed that he will be joining Soulja Boy Tell’em, Young Jeezy and Drake for the tour. Jay-Z has also said that he will be joining the rat pack but not until partway through because of scheduling issues.
The busiest rappers in the business seem to be gun-ho on being able to tour together. I’d hate to manage the hotels those guys will be staying at. No matter though cause they will put on one hell of a show.

Lil Wayne Becoming a Rocker?
February 2, 2009 by Jyle
Looking more and more like a rocker, Lil Wayne performed at the San Diego State University Cox Arena, January 27, 2009.
Lil Wayne makes it no secret that he prefers to listen to Rock music and that he is now working on a rock and roll album. I suppose that for fans he has decided to ease into the role by dressing more and more into the rock attire.
What do you think of the new Lil Wayne transformation?

January 21, 2009 by Jyle
Did you guys see President Barack Obama’s Inauguration yesterday? It was amazing. I was so grateful that I could be there, witnessing such an important piece of history. Jay-Z and Will.I.Am both performed at the Neighborhood Ball yesterday evening. Jay brought down the house when he performed his song “History” and Will.I.Am’s performance was just as appropriate when he sang “It’s a New Day.”
