Canadian “Rock The Vote” Concert Cancelled Over Rap
It seems that stopping American rappers at the border wasn’t working in Canada, so now they just refuse them to book venues.

Students at Carleton University organized a “Rock The Vote” to try and encourage younger people to vote in the upcoming federal elections. The show had to be cancelled because the venue said that they wouldn’t be able to handle the security a rap concert would need.
“Isaac Cockburn said the students were told the Ottawa Congress Centre has a policy against rap music and Nas’s lyrics promote violence.”
If this was a rock concert it would be fine but because the students booked Nas, a rapper from NYC, the show had to be cancelled.
