Akon Pleads Guilty For Tossing Kid

Akon surprised reporters when he pled guilty in a court for throwing a kid off of the stage during a 2007 concert. Instead of going to trial and having a long drawn out (and costly for Akon) ordeal, Akon’s lawyers negotiated a simple ‘harassment in the second degree’ charge. With that charge in place the judge sentenced him to 65 hours of community service and only $350 in fines. Akon also apologized to the family of the tossed kid to help smooth things over.
