Wow. This is sad. It’s being reported that Rapper, Curtis “50 cent” Jackson’s Long Island estate was burnt down on Friday. Shaniqua Tompkins, Fiddy’s ex girlfriend, and their 10 year old son, Marquis, were taken to the hospital along with four more people due to smoke inhalation. One of the firefighter also suffered a minor eye injury.

Fiddy doesn’t live in the home and wasn’t there when the fire occurred. A rep for 50 said, “Informed this morning while filming a new motion picture on location in Louisiana, Curtis Jackson expressed deep concern over this fire at his property. He is extremely thankful that everyone including his son, Marquise, escaped the burning house safely. He is confident that authorities will be conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and is eager to review their findings.”

Dix Hills Fire Chief Larry Feld referred the case to the arson squad “because of the intensity of the fire, and also being that who belongs to the house.”

This house has been a subject for argument between 50 Cent and his baby mama, Shaniqua. She claims that she was promised a house over a decade ago and that due to their breakup, he wants to evict the mother and son.

Her lawyer, Paul Catsandonis, said that the house dispute had become “extremely, extremely contentious”. He stated, that there was an “extremely dangerous incident” Monday in his Manhattan office while taking a deposition for the lawsuit. The dispute was “involving the parties in question,” he said.

The lawyer said that 50 had agreed to give Shaniqua half of his earnings. “Everything that’s his is hers, everything that’s hers is his. He memorialized in an e-mail that he intended to give her the house.”

This is just disappointing all around. It upsets me that 50 would try to evict his son and his son’s mother. He’s got enough money that he could afford to buy them a nice house.
