Man Eminem is getting soft. These day’s he’s giving people a warning to leave him alone. Granted the song was more of a jab at Mariah Carey and the lyrics are very rude. I can’t wait to hear what Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are going to do next. Nick promised to ruin Eminem’s career if he didn’t leave his wife alone. Not exactly sure how he intends on doing that.

Kanye West declaired himself the new “King of Pop” when addressing a Scrape TV yesterday. West, who is known for his over-inflated ego has said that after the passing of Michael Jackson it’s time now to pass on the crown.

Unfortunately someone forgot to tell Kanye that no one is ever declared King of Pop, there is no coronation or ceremony involved. Michael Jackson received the name after his close friend Elizabeth Taylor handed him a “Artist of the Decade” prize back in 1989.

If any rapper is to receive any Kingly title in the hip-hop industry it would have to go to Jay-Z not to some reverb wannabe. Also because Jay-Z truly is the Godfather of Rap.

MC Hammer was on the Wendy Williams Show yesterday where he talked about that scene in his “Too Legit to Quit” video where all you see is that sequined glove.  It’s assumed that it’s Michael Jackson (obviously, not for real) who has to conceded that Hammer is “too legit.”  It always cracked me up back in the early 1990s so it was funny to hear him talk about it.

He told the story of the time Michael Jackson actually called him and he hung up on them because he didn’t believe it.  He said when he called back, he knew it was him because he heard Michael say “close the door, I’m trying to talk to Hammer.”  So then Hammer was going to ask Michael if he wanted to see an unfinished version of the video so that he could approve of the spoof but Michael said he had already seen it.  When Hammer tried to tell him that he couldn’t have seen it because it hadn’t been released yet, Michael said “oh no, I got my ways.”  Ha ha!

DMX was released from prison recently after serving 90 days. He is now scheduled to go to rehab to serve the remainder of his sentencing.

He was originally imprisoned for animal cruelty, possession of narcotic drugs, marijuana, and theft when police searched his home and found that his dogs were used ring fighting.

I gues DMX wanted some down time before going to rehab so he hit up the Las Vegas Hard Rock Cafe and Casino. Personally I would have gone to the JET Night Club.

Most of you may not have heard of Slim Da Mobster yet. This guy has been an aspiring rap artist from Los Angeles. His talent spoke for himself cause after Eminem heard him rap he immediately wanted to sign him a deal.

It was a few years ago on Conan O’Brien’s Late Show that Jay-Z told the world that he didn’t know how to retire. And It’s a good thing too cause now he’s got more great rap albums that continue to have great songs.

It was just announced that Jay-Z’s newest album “Blueprint 3″ will be hitting the shelves by September 11. The single from the album was just released yesterday and you’ll be hearing it all over the radio waves today.

The song “Run This Town” features the return of Rihanna, and the talent of Kanye West. How can that possibly go wrong? My favorite part of the song is when Kanye says “what do you think I rap for, so that I could drive a Rav4?”

We all know that the two have not exactly been on speaking terms since their breakup a few months ago. Kelis claimed that she was reliant on Nas’ money and needed some to help maintain the lifestyle she’s become accustomed to. That lifestyle by the way entails a $20,000 stroller and a regular allowance to pay for living expences and nanny service. Having a baby isn’t cheap these days.

Well after all of that drama I had expected Nas had just paid her off some of what she wanted and that was the end of it. Well no such luck cause’ today Kelis went into labour and delivered a healthy baby boy. Nas on the other hand was not called, notified or even invited to the hospital to see his baby.

Sounds to me like the drama has just begun here.
