Chris Brown was all over the internet today to appeal to ‘true fans’ around the globe. He wanted everyone to know about his upcoming album Graffiti. This is the first time I’ve seen Chris Brown speak publically since the incident with Rihanna.

So who out there is going to buy his new album. I guess the kid needs more money to maintain his house with a private bowling alley. You know, times are tough these days. What the guy really wants is more money from people who can barely afford to buy food.

Not that I’m endorsing torrents but if you are one who has to have his new album I suggest you do not download it so that all of your money will go to him. He after all, needs the money to help support his expensive defence team of lawyers.

Any of you watch American Idol this season? The winner of the show was the very shy Kris Allen from Conway, Arkansas. Well, his version was impressive. After finishing, judge Simon Cowell said that his rendition was better than the original. I don’t think Kanye West was insulted by the comment because after the season ended he called to congratulate him on his win and rendition of his song.

No word yet if the two are going to try and make a song together but it might be in the works.

Will.i.am apparently wants in on the Obama Administration. He told reporters in India that if asked he would join the administration in a heartbeat. Will.i.am was a big supporter of Barack Obama in supporting his Yes We Can campaign. He also teleported to the set of CNN during the elections to explain his efforts in the campaign.

Not that that wasn’t appreciated by Obama but I mean come on. If Obama accepted every unqualified supporter help him in the oval office we would have more problems than normal happening.

Sorry Will.i.am, the best way to get into the White House is with a visitors pass.

Akon, has announced that he has accepted the responsibility of coordinating the music arraignments for the 2010 World Cup games.

The FIFA World Cup games is the largest sporting event in the world. South Africa expects more that 3 million to be in attendance during all of the games with millions more around the world watching at home. We are talking serious spectatorship is Akon manages to pull this off. Which he undoubtedly will.

It is being rumoured today that model and actress Lauren London (24) is 5 months pregnant with soon to be father again, Lil Wayne (26).

The rapper already has two children, Reginae Carter and Dwayne Carter III from a previous relationship.

It was a surprise to learn that Rihanna stared in the new music video for Kanye West’s “Paranoid”. But it has become an even bigger surprise that the two have been seen hanging out all too frequently.

In this picture they were seen in the same group together at at an even in Paris, France on March 2, 2009. Even more recently Rihanna and friends were seen entering into the pad of Kanye in Manhattan, New York.

Could the two be just friends? Most likely, Kanye and Beyonce were quite the buddy buddy for a while when he was going through the recent death of his mother. Now Kanye seems to be paying it forward by getting Rihanna back into things as she gets over her abusive relationship with Chris Brown.

Kanye West just filmed his music video for “Paranoid” in Hawaii and he featured Rihanna as the main character. That’s right Rihanna is back to being a star again. She helped Kanye make this video and even made a remix of the song that should be released later this year.

Russell Simmons was announced today as special Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations. Multi-millionaire Simmons, who is the founder of Def Jam Records has accepted the position to help bring awareness to modern day slavery throughout the word.

Simmons joins a long list of celebrities, who include soccer player David Beckham, actress Angelina Jolie and tennis star Roger Federer. Simmons told reporters that their goal as Goodwill Ambassadors is to bring attention to the ongoing world sex trade issue and raise funds for the cause.

In 2001 it was estimated that 700,000 women and children were being forced to work as sex slaves world-wide. That statistic has also been estimated to be at least a million.

Akon protégé, Dolla (a.k.a. Roderick Anthony Burton II), was gunned down yesterday while waiting for the valet at the Beverly Center.  The murder sent shockwaves through Los Angeles since it was shocking that the crime took place that the very popular, upscale shopping mall.  

The 21-year-old had just completed his first album Another Day, Another Dolla, which is due out this summer.

The incident allegedly began around 3pm when Dolla got into an altercation of some sort with a man and a woman and ended with him being shot in the head.  Although Cedars-Sinai Medical Center was just a few blocks from the mall, there was nothing that could be done to save his life and he died.

It didn’t take long for the cops to track down the suspect who is currently being held on $1 million bail.  The LAPD have detained 23-year-old Aubrey Louis Berry who they found about an hour later at Los Angeles International Airport.  Reports state that he was allegedly armed with a 9 mm semiautomatic handgun.  Two other persons of interest, a man and woman, have been questioned in connection to the shooting but not charged.

There hasn’t been any information about what caused the argument in the first place.  Dolla’s funeral will be held in Atlanta sometime in the near future.
