Music Video: Jazmine Sullivan “Lions, Tigers & Bears”
January 29, 2009 by Jyle
I’m always fascinated when hip-hop, R&B artists use great instrumental tracks in their music (Nelly & Jamie Foxx for example used Big-Bands in their performances).
Relative newcomer, Jazmine Sullivan uses great instrumental sound in her latest song “Lions, Tigers & Bears.” Just listen and watch the video below, you’ll see what I mean. Great effects too!

The Dream Talks About Working with Mariah Carey – Video
January 28, 2009 by Jyle
The Dream has been working with Mariah Carey on her upcoming album, reportedly entitled “MC3” which will be her twelfth studio album. He spoke to DJ Skee’s HD2 New Music Show on 102.7 KIIS FM to dish out some news on the project.
He’s responsible for Mariah’s hit single “Touch My Body” off of her 2008 album “E=MC²” which debuted at #1. This guy is amazing. He names some of the songs he worked on, and I was pleasantly surprised. This dude is great. Check out his interview below.
Diddy Working in the Recording Studio – Video
Here is a video of rapper, Sean “Diddy” Combs working on his album in the recording studio. The album is supposed to drop in September of 2009. He hasn’t released a solo album since 2006, so this better be good. The whole album is also reportedly said to be in Auto-Tune. Something else we should look out for is a rumored collaboration with Danity Kane’s Dawn Richard. The track he’s listening to in the video sounds good. Check it out below!
Jay-Z Song “When The Money Goes” Leaks
January 28, 2009 by Jyle
With the internet it seems to be getting harder and harder for producers to keep songs under wrap. “When The Money Goes” was leaked yesterday as Jay-Z’s newest single. Whether or not it was for his album is still uncertain.
According to MTV, the song features lyrics of friends asking each other if their girlfriend will stay when the money goes?
“When the money goes/ Will the honey stay/ When the gray skies replace the sunny days/ Heeeey.”
Well with Jay-Z and Beyonce making over $80 million each last year, the couple is at par financially. So I highly doubt he is talking about himself.

Kanye West Louis Vuitton Sneakers
January 26, 2009 by Jyle
Kanye West would now like to be called “Martin Louis The King Jr.” According to a podcast he made in a Paris Hotel, the great hip-hop rapper is now a French King. Maybe someone should tell Kanye that all of the Aristocrats in France were beheaded.
In collaboration with Louis Vuitton, Kanye now has a line of cloths he can be proud of. For anyone looking for his new stuff check em out at Louis Vuitton.
Maybe someone should tell Kanye West that he is loosing his damn mind. No offence Kanye, but you have to know that very few of your fans can afford $700.00 sneakers. I mean, who is your target audience now? 50-70 year old men or 30-40 year old gold-diggers? I’m not a sociologist but I do know that they usually like to listen to either talk-radio or classical music.
Kanye – come back before it’s too late. Your fans want a rapper who can inspire not a snob who can sing.
