T.I. Assassin Guilty!

November 28, 2008 by Jyle

According to T.I. his group had an altercation at an after party in Cincinnati, Ohio when brothers Hosea and Pardron Thomas opened fire on his van killing his personal assistant. T.I. did the smart thing and had his body guard go out and purchase semi-automatic weapons for future protection. This of course got T.I. his own sentence of a year in prison. All this to say, that the killer Hosea Thomas is finally awaiting his sentencing date of December 23.

Kanye West Opens Up In FADER Magazine Interview

November 26, 2008 by Jyle

kanye-fader

Kanye West recently opened up to the FADER Magazine about life, music, philosophy and the new evolutioned Mr. West. His album 808’s & Heartbreak, will be released November 24th, 2008 and for West it has already been a different experience from his last released album "Graduation". Last year there was a rumoured rift between himself and 50 Cent. After sweeping in the awards he took all of the credit. This year however Kanye seems to have changed. At the American Music Awards he made it clear that his Artist of the Year award should have gone to Lil Wayne (and I’d have to agree).

Anyways, read the complete and great article by Jason Nocito at the FADER Magazine.

T.I. Cancels Concert To Appear on Saturday Night Live!

November 25, 2008 by Jyle

MTV's Mi TRL Presents Ivy Queen, T. I., Ali Larter And Gloria Trevi

A concert that was supposed to feature Lil Wayne and T.I. has been cancelled in Rochester, N.Y. The reason? So that T.I. could fill the open spot as musical guest on Saturday Night Live. Disappointed fans will now have to see the rappers on the following weekend December 13. Apparently this is the second time T.I. has made adjustments to his schedule for this concert. This concert was supposed to be a make up for his no show last October.

Tupac Tuesday: "Do 4 Love"

November 25, 2008 by Jyle

This song, which was released posthumously, is one of my favorite’s from Tupac but I won’t lie – the video gave me the creeps when I first saw it.  The claymation/cartoon is just weird and serves as a reminder that he’s no longer alive/around to make videos.  Oh well.  I will just listen to it and not look at it – ha ha!

Kanye West Receives Artist of The Year Award

November 24, 2008 by Jyle

2008 American Music Awards - Show

Kanye West received the Artist of the year award at the American Music Awards tonight. However, unlike other times Kanye dedicated his award to Lil Wayne who he said should have won. I would have to agree with that statement. No one worked harder this year than Lil Wayne. He for sure was the Artist of the Year. Well good job anyway to the both of you’s.

Akon "Right Now (Na Na Na)" – Video

November 22, 2008 by Jyle

Here’s the video for Akon’s song “Right Now (Na Na Na)” which is the first single off of his new album “Freedom“. It peaked at #9 on the U.S. Hot 100 Billboard Charts, #17 on the Canadian Hot 100, and #1 on the French Singles Chart.

I’m sure lots of people really like this song, but I find this song so extremely annoying. Perhaps, it’s just because I’m tired of Akon. To each his own, I guess!

Marc Jacobs Fall 2005 - Front Row

Forbes Magazine has released their end-of-the-year earning report for several Hollywood couples. While many couples proved to rake in top-dollars none matched the combined sum of the Jay-Z/Beyoncé Knowles Empire. Together they raked in over $162 million US dollars. That’s allot of paper! Beyoncé was responsible for a good share of $80 million from her recent tour and fashion line. Jay-Z whopped in an impressive $82 million this year from his CD American Gangster and a new 10 year Live Nation deal.

In second was another Hip-Hop couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith with a combined sum of $85 million.
