Nas "Sly Fox" – Audio

June 30, 2008 by Jyle

Y’all should listen to this song by Nas called “Sly Fox” off of his untitled album. Wow! Someone’s angry…This whole song takes stabs at media outlets like Fox news and pokes fun at social networks like MySpace. I love the lyrics to this song and the beat has a great rock sound to it. This track is emotional and gritty and I really like it. Tell me how you guys feel about it. It’s definitely a controversial subject.

The video for the song was shot in L.A. and was directed by Ulysses Terrero. You can expect to see guest appearances by Yung Joc, Chris Brown and Barry Bonds. What do you guys think of the song and video?

The Outlawz "We Want In" – Video

June 27, 2008 by Jyle

The Outlawz, founded by the late Tupac Shakur, have released the video for their song “We Want In“. I think it’s a good song with a great beat. The video is a bit low quality, but I like that they all had t-shirts saying ‘We Want In”.  The song was produced by K-Salaam and Beatnick, and the album is entitled “We Want In”.

Lupe Fiasco "Where Do I Go" – Audio

June 27, 2008 by Jyle

In this song “Where Do I Go” by Lupe Fiasco, he’s telling a story about how for the longest time he needed someone to guide him and tell him where to go. The story is based on the horrible experience with his first label, Artista Records, who he was with for 3 years, and how joining with his current label, Atlantic, boosted his success and recognition. It’s a great song with good lyrics. The album for the song hasn’t yet been named or released. Check out the track!

Sean Garrett ft. Akon "Come On In" – Audio

June 26, 2008 by Jyle

This song is called “Come On In” by Common featuring Akon. The album, “Turbo 919” was supposed to be released on June 24th, but the record label, Interscope, decided to push the date back until a second single was released to bring more recognition to the album. This song is definitely a sweeter hip hop song than we’re used to hearing. However, I’m not a fan of the vocals. What about y’all?
