It’s hard to recognize the pretty 16 year-old poised in first position at the ballet barre. Her usually wild mane is pulled back into a scarf as she takes her final port de bras and retreats to the locker room with a tug of her leotard. “I’m not a girly girl,” she confesses with a shrug. “I don’t like wearing a spandex bodysuit.” When she returns, she’s rocking a fitted cap cocked over her gorgeous crop of corkscrew curls, a subtle sag in her Ice Cream jeans, and a pair of technicolor Air Force Ones. Yup, Teyana Taylor’s got her swagger back.

Beanie Sigel in Prison For Violating His Parole
PHILADELPHIA – Rap star Beanie Sigel has returned to prison.
A federal judge in Philadelphia sentenced Sigel to three months in prison Friday after authorities say he gave a false urine sample to probation officials.
Officials also say the rapper tested positive five times this month for Xanax and Percocet.
Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, was already serving a six-month term in a halfway house for having previously violated supervised release.
Sigel told the judge he was an addict and had a relapse when he was sent to the halfway house.
In 2004, U.S. District Judge Barclay Surrick sentenced Sigel to a year in prison and two years of supervised release after Sigel pleaded guilty to weapons and drug charges.

Remy Ma Faces 25 Years Over Assault Charges

Grammy-nominated rapper Remy Ma was convicted of assault, weapon possession, and attempted coercion on Thursday (March 27) and now faces up to 25 years in prison. The case involved an incident on July 14, 2007 when Remy Ma got into a woman’s car after a party at a Manhattan nightclub and demanded that she dump her purse, accusing her of stealing $3,000. In her defense, the entertainer conceded that she did fire a shot but said the gun went off accidentally while the two women struggled over the purse. Assistant District Attorney Michael McIntosh said Remy Ma ”took an illegal .45-caliber automatic and loaded it with hollow-point bullets,” then used both hands to cock the weapon as she got into the car. ”She took every step you had to take to shoot somebody,” the prosecutor said. The victim, Makeda Barnes Joseph was shot in the abdomen and testified that she underwent three surgeries during a three-week hospital stay. (Associated Press)
